You’re at your wit’s end
You’ve reached a point where you’re feeling like “something’s gotta give!”
Feeling bogged down by all the emotions of life. Anxiety rattles and shakes your life. Your past haunts you, causing you to feel depressed.
Negative thoughts may cloud your daily life.
Therapy can make all the difference
Imagine a life where you didn’t feel doubt about your actions, where you feel fulfilled and loved by yourself and others.
Where you don’t feel like you always must do more to make meaning or earn your keep somehow. Life would feel simpler. The mental Olympics could end, and you could start feeling more at ease.
How you feel doesn’t have to last forever
Gaining control over your life starts with one step at a time, learning to change the color of the glasses through which you see your world.
These steps aren’t always easy. They take time, commitment, insight, honesty, and openness.
Peace is possible
When you open yourself up to going on your journey of change and transformation, you’ll be amazed when you look back and see all the progress you’ve made.
You’ll learn to shine a new light on challenges, seeing them with clarity, bravery, confidence, and more meaning.
Our work together may be the answer you’re looking for
Using my knowledge of Cognitive-behavioral Therapy and trauma-based approaches such as EMDR, I can support you in learning to spot challenges in your life and navigate them with ease.
I pull from personal lived experiences, education, training, professional experience, and ongoing education to enhance all aspects of care I provide to clients.
Can you trust me with all of this?
I always say I wouldn’t ask clients to do anything I wouldn’t be willing to do myself.
I’m a true believer in therapy and my approaches because I’ve gone through therapy myself and know how powerful and meaningful it has been in my own life.
I don’t only believe in the science of it, but the actual change I’ve witnessed in my life and in the lives of many of my clients.
Hi… I’m Rachel.
I’ve always had a passion for working with people
Growing up, I always knew I wanted to do something where I would be working in service of others. Even as a kid on the playground, I was the one pushing back against bullies and standing up for other kids.
Plus, there’s always been a spark of curiosity inside me about how we function. That drew me to psychology.
I think it’s in my personality, too. I’ve always been told I was “outspoken” and would someday be a great advocate.
I didn’t always know I would be a therapist, but I’ve enjoyed it!
I’ve always been a life learner
Whether watching documentaries or going to museums, I’ve always been hungry for knowledge.
Humans are complex. Continuing to learn and grow as a person and therapist is essential.
I’m always learning about the latest and greatest therapeutic research and interventions to serve my clients best.
I believe in therapy because I’ve done it myself
I’ve done it throughout my life – starting at a young age.
I grew up in a tumultuous environment. My life experiences have shaped me as a therapist, giving me insight and empathy into people’s different challenges.
And I still do therapy. I always say it wouldn’t be wise for doctors to not see another doctor for their annual checkups just because they’re a doctor. So as a doctors would, I also practice what I preach!
“Slow and steady wins the race” is one of my mottos
I feel we too often rush to get to a destination, missing the magical parts that contribute to our growth.
That’s something that I like to teach in therapy: It’s about the journey… not the destination. The destination will be much more meaningful if we can appreciate the journey.
When I’m not doing therapy…
TV is my best friend. Any Gilmore Girl fans out there?
I cherish my pets. They may even visit sessions occasionally if they have it their way.
I love to travel. Experiencing new things is high on my list of enjoyment.
Art speaks to my soul. I enjoy painting, looking at art, and watching performance art. It’s all great!
You’ll learn that there’s so much more to me than what you’ve read on this page.
If you want to laugh, make some jokes, explore interesting topics, and get into interesting conversations about growth, please reach out to me.
I can’t wait to meet you!
