Scheduling time for therapy can be a pain.
But it doesn’t have to be with online therapy!
The days of rushing out, getting on the freeway, finding parking, and sitting in an unfamiliar office are over.
Want to take a midday appointment?
Simple. Attending online therapy is easier than ever before because therapy comes to you.
All I ask is that you’re in a safe place (no driving, please), have a device with reliable Internet, and be in California during our sessions. Other than that…
Game on! Therapy commence!
I know what you’re thinking…
Attending online therapy won’t be weird. I promise!
I get it, though. I was nervous at first, too.
Initially, it might feel odd conducting our session online, but once you get into the session, you’ll find it’s not much different from in-person therapy.
We’ll talk, laugh, and sometimes cry – just like in-person sessions. Getting to know each other is easy, too – maybe even easier. Plus, we’ll get a glimpse into each other’s lives through our computer screens.
What’s great is that we can connect from all over the state!
I’m in Long Beach, California, but some of my clients live in Northern California. If they move, we can continue therapy together as long as they’re in California… no problem.
There are many other benefits to being online…
You can be in your own space.
You don’t have to dress up. Wear your favorite sweatpants!
You’ll have your support system close by.
And if you have a tough session, you can decompress right where you are… no need to drive home afterward.
What you’ll need for sessions…
A laptop is highly recommended for the best visual, but a cellphone or tablet with strong Wi-Fi can also do the trick.
Having a good connection is a must! There is nothing worse than talking about a tough topic and struggling to understand each other because of a poor connection.
Being in a quiet, confidential, safe space is also a must. For your privacy and comfort, clients are required to be alone and out of hearing distance of anyone so that they can speak about topics with ease. So… no public spaces or others in the room if they’re not in therapy with you.
Also, for your comfort and pleasure, feel free to bring snacks, a beverage, tissues, a cozy blanket, and any materials we may need for our session.
Let’s connect!
What’s great about online therapy is that you can try it from the comfort of your home with a free 15-minute consultation.
I use the same platform, SimplePractice, that we’ll use for therapy, so you can see how easy and seamless it is to use.
